“JEF a changé ma vie!”

December 16, 2006

Some of the participants might have wondered who the competent, friendly young woman is, who seems to have an answer to any question and a nice smile for everyone.

Steady as a rock and absolutely stress-resistant, Anne FAVRE even finds the time to answer some questions for this blog before she hurries away to do some troubleshooting somewhere at ICNYP-conference.

Anne is only 24, so more than ten years younger than the average age at this conference, but she is in charge of everything at this conference. Six months ago, she started organizing ICNYP 2006 during an internship at JEF in a team with Günter LINDNER.

“It needs a capable team to organize a conference like that. Günter is really great, he knows his job well. I could not have done it without him. But the Federal Ministry of Social Security, Generations and Consumer Protection was a very efficient cooperation partner in the run-up of the conference just as well.” states Anne.

[The translation for the (only halfway) ironic statement in the title would be :”JEF changed my life!”]

The guy in the background of this photo is Roland ULBRICHT, one of the many hard-working JEF people behind the scenes. [I want to use this post as well as an apology. We simply could not write about everybody or post a pic. Hope you understand.]

Piled in front of Roland the awards that each all participant recieved during a nice ceremony on Wednesday. Many people. Many awards. High pile.

To highlight the importance of the ICNYP-conference, Mr. Karl DOUTLIK, head of the Permanent Representation of the European Commission in Austria, delivered a speech during the last plenary session Thursday morning.

Although short of time, DOUTLIK emphasised the importance of youth policies. “Improvement starts with involving the youth!” Moreover, he praised JEF to be a strong and reliable partner whenever it comes to youth-affairs and topics related to the EU.

Thank you for your visit!
